The Strict Community

Previously in the book The Giver, Jonas is an eleven and he is almost having the ceremony of tweleve in which his future will be destinated. The ceremony of twelve is a celebration in which you find out your future work from you entire life. Jonas is living in a strict and perfectionist community that everything you do there depends on your future, and the laws in there are very strict. Living in this perfect community also you must be perfect as a person following the rules you have because you can me released from the community. In this community before you have the ceremony of twelve you also need to make volunteer hours, help people. finnally in this previous chapters are introducing us what is like this community.

In The Giver theres everything under control and in this quote "Almost every citizen in the community had dark eyes. his parents did, lily did, and so all did his groups members and friends." I feel like in this quote that everyone is having dark eyes except for Jonas and Gabriel it might be that both have their birth mother. I think that seems everyone is the same thats what Jonas is so scared of why he isn't the same as his family, it might be because of his birth mother that got lighter eyes. In my opinion Jonas is trying to say like docent is different to have lighter eyes that the other ones? or does Gabriel have my same birth mother? Jonas might be questioning. To conclude in my point of view is that Jonas is having a kind of inside trouble and also it might be that his feeling very different from others and not as perfect and same as others.

Lastly in this previous chapters we had read I'm questioning a lot, its very interesting this book and i am very interested in the reading. In what Jonas is going though i wanna know what will happened in the future and also whats really going on in this community of perfection. The quote i explain is given me extremely nervous of Jonas life, i think he is a curious kid that always looks for answers. i consider that if i were Jonas i will try to find who was his birth mom of that kid and mine also. in conclusion the book its very fun reading it and i am liking a lot of it.

Predictions of The Giver

  1. Short summary of what you think this book will be about. How would you describe it after having "interviewed" the book?
I think this book is about a man that knew that the government is hiding something and he wants to find it. the Giver cover page is a old man so i also think that this old man might be a man that help this man that (principal) to his journey of search for answers. After i saw the interviewed  of the book i also predict that the Giver is like the Hunger Games or Divergent. The Giver might be about also that the government is having a sort of problem but that are hiding and people don't know about that. In conclusion  this book seems very interesting to me because i love Dystopia  genre of books.
2.  Read the dedication page where Lowry says, "For all the children to whom we entrust the       future." What do you think Lowry means by this statement? Explain your thinking with a minimum of 3 sentences.

this statement says that it might happened this problem in the future and we (the kids) can fight for it. Also it might be that in the future children of my age might pass in the same issue that jonas is having. finally it also states that children can make a revolution.

3. Make a prediction about what you think will happen in this book?

I predict that it will happened that this Jonas is going somewhere that all of his age kids must do and he didn't want it and he knows that is a issue and they try to think (the government) that their life is perfect, but Jonas knew that the government got a secret behind all this.

4. Include a multi-media image that relates to something you talked about in your post.
